Look no further! At YAYA Kombucha, we brew kombucha every day and love to share our recipe and experience with you.

Although our kombucha starter kit is no longer available, you can still make delicious kombucha yourself at home. All you need are a few simple ingredients — the same ones we use in our own brewery:

  • 100 ml of liquid kombucha starter (unpasteurized kombucha from a previous batch or store-bought raw kombucha)
  • A certified organic SCOBY
  • Tea and sugar (to create the base)
  • A glass jar and a breathable cloth for fermentation

You can easily find these ingredients online or at organic stores. Follow our step-by-step recipe and start brewing your own YAYA-style kombucha at home!

You can easily make kombucha yourself. Follow the next few steps in making kombucha:

  1. Making kombucha starts with brewing strong, sweet tea.
  2. Add a SCOBY and starter liquid (sour kombucha) to the tea. This creates the perfect composition of yeasts and bacteria.
  3. The yeast and bacterial culture convert the sugars, during fermentation, into acids and aromas.
  4. Leave the fermentation at room temperature for 10-20 days.

The kombucha is ready after about two weeks. Do you want to make even more kombucha? Then you can use the kombucha from the previous batch as a new starter liquid.

If you want to give your kombucha a festive touch, you can easily add ice, herbs and/or spices. Pour the kombucha into a nice glass and add various types of garnish:

  • Citrus fruit
  • Fresh ginger
  • Fresh mint
  • Red fruits and berries
  • Pomegranate
  • Passion fruit
